[There's a knock on your door because Edgeworth didn't bother calling the Wright number. Instead, he's going straight for the Wright apartment.

It's THAT important.]

[Phoenix was in the middle of pensive thought about what they had learned, when he heard the knock on his door. He tentatively approached it from his side.]

Hello? ...Who's there?

[That voice can only be one man.]

It's Edgeworth, Wright.

Edgeworth? What are you doing here? Um... Take a few steps back, alright?

[The door may look perfectly fine, but when Phoenix pushes at it from his side, it tips and falls right onto the ground.]

[And Edgeworth does exactly that (actually he takes A LOT of steps), very quickly, only closing his eyes briefly when the door hits the ground with a loud bang.]

Now, may I come in or is there anything else I should watch out for?

[He's half-serious. There was damage around the colony that had yet to be repaired. A lot of it.]

Hey, Edgeworth! What's up? [Phoenix is wearing his casual hobo clothes today, but without the beanie.]

[Edgeworth glances over his shoulder at the fallen door before looking his friend over from head to toe.]

How are your self-defense skills, Wright? Has Miss Cykes taught you anything?

They're... they're pretty defensive, I'd say! And Athena's... taught me a thing or two alright! [Mostly about how quickly my face can meet the floor...

Of course, Phoenix doesn't sound even close to confident in any of these sentences.]

[And Edgeworth, being used to zeroing in on the defense's weaknesses, is quick to notice that "a thing or two" probably isn't enough for Phoenix to put up a real fight if the need arose.]

You don't say.

[He strokes his chin, saying those three words steadily - almost ominously.]

Why don't you give me a demonstration?

A... a demonstration?! What, do you want me to fight you?!

[He's not moving from where he is. Not to mention he looks dead serious about this.

If it's any comfort, Edgeworth is unarmed. He doesn't have a sword or any other weapon on him.]

I... I guess I did! [He pauses.]

Like, right now? You don't need to do any... warm-up exercises or anything? Or, um, maybe some breakfast! I can whip up some mean eggs...!

[ She's not sure she's willing to leave Naoki's side long enough to do the rounds. ]

Oh! Well, I appreciate that a lot, Yang. But, um, things have been pretty calm here. At least compared to the last time we got hit by weirdness... I had some kind of weird dizzy spell right before I started hearing about things, but other than that, I've been alright.
