[After receiving Phoenix's present this morning, Larry felt compelled to come deliver his own gift for Phoenix in person. Something tells him Nick would get a kick out of him actually wearing the sweater he sent. ~~There will be words about that finances book though, Nick.~~

So sometime later in the afternoon, there'll be a knock on Phoenix's door. Larry's brought presents for both Phoenix and Trucy!]

[Phoenix answers the door, already wearing one sweater and with a mug of hot coffee in hand. For once, he's definitely feeling happy to see Larry.]

Hey Larry! Merry Christmas. Come right in!

[ Trucy is similarly wearing a sweater over the top of a less ugly and more cute black dress, though she's shoeless and currently sitting on the couch inside the apartment, half reading a magazine and half goofing off with her new cybuddy kitten.

She glances up as the door opens, though. ]

Hey, Uncle Larry! Want some hot chocolate or anything?

Hey guys! Merry Christmas to you too!

[Larry's all smiles as he enters, holding two decently-sized gift bags. He kind of awkwardly sets them down as he gets his shoes off.

Once that's all out of the way, he take a moment to get a good look of the place, as well as Phoenix and Trucy's attire.]

Oh dude, those are amazing! Ugly Christmas sweaters- good bit!

[He hasn't realized his is supposed to be one too.

He turns toward Trucy as he takes a few more steps in.]

Yeah, that'd be great!

[Aaand now he'll be watching Trucy's cute Cybuddy, occasionally looking back at the others.]

So are you guys having a good Christmas so far?

[It's a finely decorated apartment and right now Phoenix is on a break from making Christmas dinner. First, Phoenix gives a self-deprecating smile.]

Hey now, try not to hurt the feelings of Trucy's sweater, alright?

[But overall he looks cheery.]

But so far? It's been a Christmas for the record books. Wouldn't you agree, Trucy?

I do!!! I got tons of cool stuff, even though we're on an alien planet!

[ what else is christmas all about, she guesses.

but no seriously someone gave her ACTUAL MAGIC CHARMS. she will never be happier. ]

I'm pretty sure being on an alien planet makes everything cooler by at least a couple percent.

[Unless you're terrified of being abducted by aliens, then it's just all horror all the time. Thankfully none of these three fit that...right?

But the mention of presents reminds him that he left his presents for them back in the entryway, so he slides on over to grab them. The bags in question have cute Christmas decorations on them, and a name tag is attached to the drawstrings.

He holds each out in the direction of Phoenix and Trucy respectively.]

Speaking of cool stuff though, I've got more cool stuff for you guys!

[Yeah, who would be terrified of that?

As Larry presents the presents, Phoenix leans over to get a curious look.]

More cool stuff? We're going to run out of room to put things at this rate. [He says that with a good-natured smile, and then he switches to more of a flat look that usually is reserved for Larry.]

You did make sure to get Trucy only age-appropriate presents, right?

I'm sure he did, Daddy!

[ OR IF HE DIDN'T NOW'S THE TIME TO SAY, BECAUSE SHE'S OPENING HERS... ]

[LET'S PRETEND THAT ALIEN INCIDENT NEVER HAPPENED--

Phoenix's flat look is met with a completely innocent one from Larry.]

Is that doubt I'm sensing, Nick? 'course I got her age-appropriate presents! Why would I get anything else?

[He's trying not to sound too hurt, but it's his own fault that Phoenix is suspicious in the first place. That's what he gets for being a suspicious person in general.

As for the presents, Trucy will get the following!
- one of those foldable art kits for kids/teens
- a plush bunny with a magician hat and wand
- a prank flower that shoots water (it totally screams "try this on your dad")
- and a postcard-sized portrait painting of Trucy by Larry himself!

Phoenix will get the following!
- a lawyer-themed shot glass
- a set of retro game ties
- a ticket to the next stand-up comedy show that Larry's participating in
- and a small framed painting of Phoenix and Trucy by Larry!]

I'm just making sure, Larry. Really!

[So Phoenix tentatively goes to start unwrapping his presents... and he seems to like every single one of them. ...Well he's not sure how the comedy show will go but otherwise he's happy. And he looks up towards Larry with a genuine smile.]

Wow, Larry... Thanks! These are all great. [In fact, he'll put one of those ties on over his sweater immediately.]

[ Trucy's been going through hers without the reassurance - before it, that is - and currently is hugging the plush bunny. ]

Wow, Uncle Larry, thank you! Did you paint this yourself? [ The portrait...! ]

[Now he's not saying he's proud and slightly smug that his presents were a hit...buuut he's proud and slightly smug. He'll try not to look it though.]

No prob! I'm just happy you guys like 'em- and yeah, I painted both of those portraits! I've been trying to keep on top of my art game since I got here.

[And trying not to let his caricature style bleed into his more serious pieces...those portraits were good practice.]

Thank you, Larry. You really came through this time. [He takes a curious look at Trucy's portrait and nods in approval.]

Your art does look a lot better now. You must have really been practicing.
