Earlier today I was rudely kidnapped from my home unexpectedly. It seems that I have to take measures into my own hands. [ One of these days she's gonna whip the person in charge. ]

I hear that a handful of individuals were whisked away as well. Do I dare say what happened afterwards?

You definitely weren't alone, Franziska. I... ended up on a field trip as well.

[He frowns thoughtfully. At least she seems to be in one piece.]

If you feel comfortable telling your story, then I'd definitely like to hear it.

[ That doesn't sound pleasant! Hopefully no dead people were involved. ]

Very well. It's not as if what I learned was a secret or anything.

In return you'll have to tell me what you saw. Do we have a deal?

Phoenix gives a quick nod.]

Well, you know how it is with witnesses. Sometimes you might have seen something that you didn't realize the importance of... But you have yourself a deal.

[I would have offered my information freely, but maybe it'll work out better this way.]

If you doubt my testimony then question Yusuke Urameshi, Souji Okita, Tenten, and Imanotsurugi.

All five of us were together in the same foolish place.

[ Franziska's gonna talk about the hallway simulator in just a bit. Witness testimony can always be flawed, well there was more than one witness in this case. It'll be okay. ]

You won't find any doubt here. [Even if I don't recognize the names...]

...What sort of foolish place are we talking about?

[gerte]

A foolish place filled with foolish hallways going as far as the eye can see.

We all decided to walk down the middle path. Are you following me so far?

[bewrightback]

I'm listening, Franziska. [He's certainly as attentive as can be! And he lets her carry on with her story.]

[gerte]

It didn't take long for another set of paths to appear before us.

We spent some time arguing over how we should mark our path. Foolish isn't it?

[ Everything's foolish to Franziska. ]

Um, I guess so. So what did you decide?

[gerte]

Before we got around to that Yusuke Urameshi pulled a rock from the side and suggested we use it.

That was a terrible idea for he shouldn't have touched anything in the first place!

[bewrightback]

...A rock? Did that... make something happen?

[gerte]

Indeed it did. We upset a foolish spirit and he claimed that the rock belonged to him.

That foolish boy Yusuke Urameshi ended up paying the price. He was killed immediately after.

[ Then Souji died but yo, that's all there was in terms of death. Phoenix probably had a fun time too. ]

[His expression sobers up as he hears that. It sounds like that guy was just a boy.]

I... I'm sorry to hear that. [Even if he didn't hear much sympathy in her words, he's sure that it must be troubling.] Was there anything... special or out of the ordinary about that rock?

[gerte]

[ Franziska doesn't comment on Phoenix's expression. She only felt anger towards the ghost and it would seem wrong to take it out on someone else. It's true though, watching people die in front of her was troubling enough even if she isn't showing it openly. ]

Don't apologize, you aren't to blame. As for your question, we're looking into that. It might take a while before we get any solid results.

[bewrightback]

I see. [He gives a firm nod.] I wonder what it could be...

...But is that all of your story?

[gerte]

No! It doesn't end there. The four of us were still searching for an exit.

But that blasted ghost did something to Okita Souji. He was threatening our very lives so we engaged in battle with him. [ This is such a vague testimony yo, but it's not her fault. Franziska doesn't know anything about vampire-like transformations. Probably best to ask the people in question, if Phoenix really wants to know. ]

Suffice to say that I didn't have my whip at the time. I could have taken him down easily if so!

[bewrightback]

Okita Souji... [He doesn't know him, but the name sounds intimidating in general. Now Phoenix is more on edge.]

Was it like a possession, or some other sort of coercion...? ...But you made it out alright, correct?

[gerte]

I believe it was some other coercion. [ She nods. ] Hey, Phoenix Wright. Do you believe in Vampires? His transformation was something similar to that. There isn't an easy way to describe this without directly consulting Okjita Souji.

Fear not, I made it out alright.

[bewrightback]

V-vampires?! [His eyes widen.]

...Well, I'm glad you made it out alright. You didn't... get bitten or anything, right?

[gerte]

Nothing of the sort happened. You seem to have made it out alright too by the looks of it.

So tell me fool, what have you been doing while I was off scurrying in deadly hallways?

[ There's more to her story, but it can always wait. With the way things are looking now it seems like more people got caught up in this mess. They could all get together and share what they learned or saw. ]

That's good to hear. And... yeah, I made it out alright, but it was a close call for a little while there.

A robot pushed a bunch of us through doors, and we ended up in this odd room with a camcorder in it. It looked like the kind of set you'd see in a weird and shady adult movie.

But we found other rooms, including hidden labs with advanced technology unlike that of CERES. ...There was also an old and broken down robot with a passion for drawing birds.

[gerte]

How strange. Did that robot threaten to kill you? [ It was broken down, but still. There's a chance that it could have been deadly. Franziska merely shakes her head and scoffs. ]

If it wanted to kill you then it did a poor job of doing so. You're still alive and therefore I assume you're unharmed.

[bewrightback]

You're assuming correctly. I'm not sure if that robot could hurt anyone even if it wanted to! But... no, all it wanted was one of our group's hair. It actually ended up helping us out!

[gerte]

What a foolish robot. You're fortunate that things didn't turn out worse.

It could have demanded more than a simple strand of hair. Still, I can't help but wonder if that machine you found was a victim as well.
