[Slowly, she nods, taking all of that in. Somehow, some way, she'd figured that something was going to go wrong. This was the nail in that coffin, and it hurt. Of course it did. What did you expect, numbskull? Of course it hurts. But there are words of encouragement in there too. Little things that make it hurt a little less. She knows she helps Edgeworth, and Apollo and Klavier both have told her that much. They aren't lying, she trusts that much. They're not telling her the truth, presumably to spare her, but she can live with that. But she'd needed to hear this, that she's sure of.

Because even if she isn't where she wants to be, there's something Lana had always made sure she understood. That the best way to live your life was by helping other people. That's why she was a detective, and why Ema had wanted to be one. And...]
